Dropbox

We here at Kyan have been using Dropbox (http://getdropbox.com) for a few months now, and recently, it has left it’s beta testing phase, and is now open to the masses. Dropbox is awsome, put really simply, it syncs files between all your computers. That’s it!

That might not sound like much, but believe you me, this service has totally revolutionized how I manage my files. No longer do I have faff around with USB pendrives. No longer do i have to worry about documents I have at work, getting out of date with my files at home. I don’t even have to worry about telling it to do all this, it just sits there, in the background, watching, waiting for me to make a change, then boom, it automatically sends the changes upto the webservice, then instantly, it pushes the changes down to my other computers. Within 5 seconds of making a change on my iMac, the files have been updated on my MacBook.
