Freezing fingers, the solution

So, we’re all addicted to handheld touch-screen technology here at Kyan, but now that the weather’s on the turn we’ve got a problem on our hands (literally) — you can’t use your iPhone whilst wearing gloves. Or can you?

The clever bods over at North Face seem to have found a solution with their new ePoint gloves.

Tron glove

These gloves are a regular pair of tight fitting nylon thermals but with one key difference: on the forefinger and thumb the tips are coated in a conductive material somewhere between gold lamé and Bacofoil. This means that the screen can recognize touch-screen gestures — Genius!

What comes as an added bonus is they have detailed the palms of these hand-huggers with Tron-esque detailing. Geek-tastic.

I have the driest draw here at Kyan towers. You see, I am the proud owner of a Silica Gel collection. There is just something about them which compels me to not throw away the little fellas.
