WXG 2013: Kyan is doing that event thing again!

WXG wrap-up — See you next year!

What a day. After months of prep, Web Expo Guildford was deployed pretty smoothly by all accounts on Oct 12th. 200 people, 16 speakers*, a lot of tea / coffee / alcohol and sadly but predictably, crap wi-fi.

WXG reaches critical mass

Since we announced WXG – Web Expo Guildford – in May we’ve been working hard to create an amazing roster of speakers for our first one day conference.

Our criteria has been to invite people we want to listen to and we’ve been blown away by the response.

What is Web Expo Guildford?

When we had our first Web Meet Guildford in November 2010, we felt there was a need in the area for a regular social event for people who work in web.

We just wanted to chat about great work and new stuff and share a drink and it’s worked out pretty well.

Kyan on tour at d.Construct

This year’s d.Construct ‘Designing The Social Web’ took place last week in Brighton and a few of the Kyan crew went along.

Overall the conference was inspiring and the talks were varied and interesting.
