Copywriter

We are seeking a talented and versatile Copywriter to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in crafting compelling and engaging content for both our internal needs and the digital products we create for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of marketing principles, an eye for detail, and the ability to adapt their writing style to different audiences, platforms and brands.

Location

Our Guildford studio with flexible hybrid working options. 

Key areas of responsibility

Content Creation

  • Write clear, persuasive, and original copy for a variety of digital platforms including websites and apps as well as for presentations and promotional documents
  • Create engaging content that develops and aligns with our brand voice and our clients
  • Collaborate with designers, engineers and other team members to produce high-quality digital products

Content Strategy

  • Assist in the development of content strategies that meet business objectives and target audience needs
  • Conduct research to understand market trends, audience personas, and competitive landscape

Editing and Proofreading

  • Working closely with designers to create, review and edit content for prototypes, figma designs and guidelines to bring purposeful content in to our designs
  • Play a key part in championing user experience
  • Ensure all content is free from grammatical errors and adheres to style guidelines

Client Interaction

  • Participate in client meetings and workshops to understand their needs and provide creative input
  • Present and articulate copy ideas and concept's to clients

Experience & competencies

Experience with UX writing, user centred design principles and working with technology and platforms. It would also help to have an understanding and some experience of agency life and how AI can aid productivity.

  • Proven experience as a copywriter
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of writing styles and content types
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills; understand the importance of an apostrophe and how to break the rules successfully
  • Ability to context shift and work across several projects
  • Great teamworking skills
  • Able to spot the purposeful mistake in the copy above
  • Technically savvy and a good understanding of visual design, brand expression and development practises
