Head of Finance

We’re looking for an experienced Finance professional to join our growing and talented team to play a key role in our exciting next stage of growth. Reporting to the CEO you’ll be responsible for providing high level financial support to the agency including supporting the Leadership team with decision making and supporting revenue forecasting and planning.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Partnering with the Leadership Team with decision making by providing ad-hoc business intelligence

  • Work closely with the Heads of Departments to support the revenue and resource forecasting 

  • Ensure accurate, timely and efficient transfer of financial information from agency to the finance function with strong internal controls that reduces the time spent on finance activities within the agency

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual reporting for delivery to board and agency

  • Budget creation, quarterly reforecast, flash forecasting

  • Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations

  • Continuous improvement of the month end and finance function to improve speed, accuracy and reporting

  • Support monthly payroll (alongside our payroll provider), weekly payment run, expenses , bank reconciliations and tax calculations (with support from external accountants) including VAT, PSA and P11Ds

  • Revenue forecasting using resource tracking system and working closely with Client Partners to ensure this number is accurate

  • Involvement in HR decision making (selection, interviewing, pay increases) and long term planning 

  • Provide advice and guidance regarding mid/long term plans/strategy of the business and drive change management and business transformation efforts, to support any changes

Must haves

  • Pass qualified (CIMA/ACCA)

  • 5+ years Experience working on month end close in a finance team

  • Excellent communicator (verbal, written and presentation)

  • Strong excel/g suite experience and knowledge

Nice to have

  • Agency experience

  • Experience in system implementation

  • 2+ years successful people management, growth and development experience

  • Strong relationships with senior staff in the business

  • Strong Profit Margin and agency growth at a sustainable rate
