Head of People

We are looking for someone to play a pivotal role in our ambitious growth plans. Our people are at the heart of our success and your responsibilities will be to develop our talent acquisition strategy, our career development offering as well as helping us to develop and grow our already strong culture. This is a new role for an established and fast growing technology agency.

Key areas of responsibility

  • Talent acquisition

    • Create a talent acquisition strategy that supports Kyan’s growth ambitions

    • Build a talent pool pipeline

    • Manage recruitment platform accounts & recruitment agency relationships

  • Culture growth & People strategy

    • Partner with the leadership team to develop a business aligned people strategy to drive employee engagement, capability and performance.

    • Foster an inclusive culture, embed company values and implement a range of employee wellbeing initiatives

    • Talent mapping

  • Learning & development

    • Work with the leadership team to design and implement a progression framework

    • Manage & support the review process

    • Implement a consistent approach to objective setting and tracking

  • Employee relations

    • Create the best ever onboarding experience

    • Manage employee HR issues from start to finish and be the expert that the leadership team can refer to

    • Ensure the agency handbook is up to date

    • Coach dept heads to support their teams

  • Operational support

    • Look at operational efficiencies

    • Consider tools and systems

    • Support finance with payroll

    • Refine HR processes

Competencies

  • A true people person; the ability to build positive relationships with the wider team

  • Excellent communication skills, written and spoken

  • The confidence to go out and network and build connections

  • A creative mindset and a passion for learning

  • The ability to remain positive and calm in times of pressure

Experience

The ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years experience in a digital, software or technology agency. Experience of networking, managing end-end recruitment processes and a proven ability to work in a fast paced environment are essential. As is a financial savviness, an understanding of agency life and experience in implementing business processes.

Salary

Dependent on experience.
