Music is the lifeblood of Kyan. Our bespoke digital jukebox (quite aptly named 'Jukebox') saturates the Kyan studio with a huge variety of tunes chosen by staff throughout the day. Sometimes it's 90s grunge, other times it's psychedelic trance. It can be tricky at times to satisfy everyone's tastes, but something that we can all agree on is classical. So when the opportunity arose to sponsor the Investec International Music Festival, we jumped at the opportunity.
Founded in 2010 by Tessa Marchington and Wu Qian, the festival brings together world-class music, poetry, walks and talks at intimate venues throughout the Surrey Hills. A firm favourite with music-lovers young and old, the festival also pursues charitable aims, providing free specialist music tuition and instruments to local school children and invaluable performance experience to young music graduates.
There are numerous performances across the Spring period at some wonderful venues, including Hatchlands Park, West Horsley Place, The Menuhin Hall and Denbies Wine Estate. These include renditions of Beethoven through poetry and music, guided walks and a festival insight evening with Sandy Burnett, musician, author and former BBC Radio 3 broadcaster.
We've put together a calendar of events below, but also keep an eye on our social channels for timely reminders of upcoming performances. We'd love to see you there, and we're delighted to sponsor such a fantastic festival. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the IIMF website.
