Team Kyan ventured south to Wirehive's seventh annual award ceremony, which was a homage to the bygone era of 1920s speakeasy and prohibition. As finalists in five categories, we were as equally excited as we were nervous — not only because of the passion (and in some cases, pain) behind the projects, but the sheer magnitude of the competition we were up against.
We were absolutely delighted to bring home the winner's trophy for Rebrand of the Year. Pete White, Gavin Shinfield, Harry Ford and our wider design, front-end and back-end teams put in a tremendous amount of work to change the entire Kyan brand for the first time since our foundation nearly fifteen years ago. Our rebrand was so much more than just a new logo — but an entirely new strategic focus, a beautiful new office, and some impressive new hires.

Our CEO Laurent Maguire was named runner-up in the Agency Leader category for his dedication to the growth and success of the agency and causes outside of Kyan, including the creation of our annual WXG conference, and most recently, hosting a talk for students at Guildford College where he studied some years ago.
We'd like to make a particular shout-out to our fellow finalists in the Agency for Good category. Studio Republic for inspiring us with their outstanding work and their solid ethics, and 10 Degrees for quite deservedly taking the winner's trophy — their first ever! In an industry where tech, strategy and shiny things reign true, it's important to stop sometimes and check yourself... Are we creating and promoting 'good'?
Congratulations to everyone, and thank you as always to Wirehive for a wonderful evening.
